Francesca Woodman
Le 19 janvier 1981, à vingt-deux ans, la photographe américaine Francesca Woodman (1958-1981) se défenestre de son appartement à New-York. C’est alors une jeune artiste inconnue qui peine à trouver un lieu pour exposer son travail après avoir tenté sa chance comme assistante dans le milieu sans merci de la photo de mode. Elle déclarait n’être « pas arrivée à la bonne époque », dans un monde où la commercialisation de l’art et la célébrité prenaient de plus en plus de place.
