Alexandre Guirkinger est un photographe français. Il vit et travaille à Paris. Après des études à Science Po, il s’est tourné vers la photographie. Il partage désormais son temps entre la presse (M Le magazine du Monde, WSJ Magazine, Die Zeit Magazin, Another Magazine, Double, AD Magazine…), les collaborations avec des artistes, les publicités (Chanel, Re / Done, LVMH, Dior, Hermès, Fondation YSL…) et son travail personnel. Actuellement, certaines de ses images accompagnent le travail sonore de Tarek Atoui au Fridericianum de Kassel. Il poursuit également son travail sur les frontières et les migrations, dont le premier chapitre a été exposé aux Rencontres d’Arles en 2016.

This book present the work of the photographer with the artist Raphaël Barontini, as part of his LVMH Métiers d’art residency ; at the Heng Long Leather tannery in Singapore, which ran from January to July 2020, under the direction of Léa Chauvel-Lévy.

Alexandre Guirkinger is a French photographer. He lives and works in Paris. After studying at Science Po, he turned to photography. He now divides his time between the press (M Le magazine du Monde, WSJ Magazine, Die Zeit Magazin, Another Magazine, Double, AD Magazine…), collaborations with artists, commercials (Chanel, Re/Done, LVMH, Dior, Hermès, Fondation YSL …) and his personal work. Currently some of his images accompany the sound work of Tarek Atoui at the Fridericianum in Kassel. He is also continuing his work on borders and migration, the first chapter of which was exhibited at the Rencontres d’Arles in 2016.
