Installée au cœur du East Village, Marion Scemama rencontre David Wojnarowicz, artiste politique radical, peintre, écrivain, photographe, figure marquante de la scène artistique des années 80, mort du Sida en 1992.
De cette rencontre naît une amitié particulière qui durera 9 ans, marquée par des absences et des retours. Il était homosexuel, elle ne l’était pas. Pourtant leur amitié était au-delà de ces considérations.

Settled in the heart of the East Village, Marion Scemama meets David Wojnarowicz, a radical political artist, painter, writer and photographer, a key figure of the 80s art scene who died of Aids in 1992.
From this encounter a special relationship begins which lasts for 9 years, marked by various absences and returns. He was homosexual, she was not. Yet their friendship went beyond these considerations.
A mutual support and respect stimulate their resulting respective productions and numerous collaborations in photography and video.
The book is presented as a photographic diary contextualizing their productions, but also the moments shared during trips and stays spent together.
