Mother Without Shadow est une histoire racontée sous différents angles : sur le fait d’être une femme et une mère qui travaille pendant la seconde moitié du 20e siècle en Suède, sur le vieillissement et les différentes phases de vie, et d’une conversation entre une mère et son fils sur la lumière et les ténèbres dès l’enfance. Il s’agit aussi d’une sorte de règlement entre les parents et l’enfant au sujet de ce dont nous nous souvenons et de la façon dont nos souvenirs partagés diffèrent.

Mother Without Shadow is a story told from various perspectives: about being a working woman and mother during the second half of the 20th century in Sweden, about aging and the different phases of life, and about a conversation between a mother and her son concerning light and darkness from childhood. It is also a kind of reckoning between parent and child about what we remember and how our shared memories differ.
Mother Without Shadow är en berättelse från olika utsiktsplatser: om att vara förvärvsarbetande kvinna och mamma under andra hälften av 1900-talet i Sverige, om att åldras och livets olika faser, samt ett samtal mellan en mamma och hennes son om ljus och mörker ur barndomen. Det är också en slags uppgörelse mellan barn och förälder om vad vi minns och hur våra gemensamma minnen skiljer sig åt.
