Hinsch Robin
Robin Hinsch est un artiste et photographe basé à Hambourg et Berlin, en Allemagne, avec un accent sur les questions socio-économiques et politiques combinant souvent la photographie avec des collages de films et des techniques d’installation.
Il a beaucoup voyagé et a travaillé en Chine, en Inde, en Irak, au Libéria, au Nigeria, en Russie, en Syrie, en Ouganda et en Ukraine, entre autres.
Il a reçu de nombreux prix, notamment les World Photography Awards, le International Photography Award, le European Photo Exhibition Award et le Georg Koppmann Prize.
En 2017, Hinsch a fondé Format, un laboratoire de photographie contemporaine à Hambourg. -traduit de la biographie par l’éditeur Gost Books

Les images de Wahala représentent à la fois les endroits du monde où les matières premières sont extraites de la terre pour le profit, et les gens qui y font leurs maisons. Le photographe Robin Hinsch s’est rendu là où l’impact humain sur la planète était particulièrement visible pour confronter le spectateur aux répercussions écologiques et humaines brutales de la dépendance mondiale aux combustibles fossiles.
The images in Wahala depict both the places in the world where raw materials are extracted from the earth for profit, and the people who make their homes there. Photographer Robin Hinsch travelled to where the human impact on the planet was particularly visible to confront the viewer with the blunt ecological and human repercussions of the global reliance on fossil fuels.
