Henry O. Head : Twelve Acres

Du printemps 2023 à l’été 2024, Head a revisité le terrain du nord-ouest de l’Arkansas et du sud-ouest du Missouri. Il est retourné au pays sauvage de Ponca et Jasper, Purdy, Monett et Pioneer— avec des falaises calcaires traversées par du quartz, où les cottonmouths s’enroulent sur des racines exposées par des ruisseaux lents, et des gnomes alligators glissent comme des fantômes à travers le noir.
In his debut monograph, American photographer Henry O. Head reimagines the peaks and valleys of a defining teenage friendship in the Ozarks where he spent his adolescence. From spring 2023 through summer 2024, Head revisited the terrain of northwest Arkansas and southwest Missouri. He returned to Ponca and Jasper, Purdy, Monett and Pioneer— wild country with limestone bluffs shot through with quartz, where cottonmouths coil on exposed roots by slow creeks, and alligator gar glide like phantoms through the dark.

Presented in collaboration with Carhartt Work In Progress, Tin Lizards is printed on silver art paper, its edges bathed in crimson and encased within a crafted acrylic vessel. This inaugural edition is limited to 600 copies and launched in tandem with a co-exhibition with Carhartt WIP and Fahey/Klein Gallery.
