Tandis que son deuxième livre était à l’impression, Águas de Ouro, Sandra Cattaneo Adorno a remarqué les plaques de métal de couleurs vives utilisées pour faire des épreuves. Les plaques, appelées « scarti » (en italien pour « restes »), montraient ses photographies comme des monochromes en rose choquant, jaune vif, bleu royal et noir, évoquant l’esprit d’Andy Warhol.
While on press for her second book, Águas de Ouro, Sandra Cattaneo Adorno noticed the brightly colored metal plates used to make test proofs. The plates, called “scarti” (Italian for “scraps”), showed her photographs as monochromes in shocking pink, bright yellow, royal blue, and black, evoking the spirit of Andy Warhol.
