Gorelli Beatrice

La région d’Emosson, dans le canton suisse du Valais, offre un paysage alpin à couper le souffle ponctué d’une série de prouesses monumentales en génie hydroélectrique, dont trois barrages et une centrale électrique cachés dans une caverne à 600 m sous terre. Dans « Hydroelectric Sublime », les photographes Beatrice Gorelli et Keiichi Kitayama ont entrepris de capturer le terrain impressionnant de la région, et se sont retrouvés dans une odyssée de trois ans révélant le lien complexe entre les humains, l’énergie et l’eau.

The Emosson region in the Swiss canton of the Valais boasts a breathtaking Alpine landscape punctuated by a series of monumental feats in hydroelectric engineering, which include three dams and a power plant hidden in a cavern 600m below ground. In “Hydroelectric Sublime” the photographers Beatrice Gorelli and Keiichi Kitayama set out to capture the area’s awe-inspiring terrain, and found themselves on a three-year odyssey uncovering the intricate bond between humans, energy and water.
