Ce dernier essai photo de Juergen Teller (né en 1964) détaille sa visite de la Colline des Croix avec son épouse Dovile Drizyte et ses parents en 2022. Lieu de pèlerinage et de tourisme près de Siauliai, en Lituanie, la colline a vu le jour après le soulèvement de novembre 1830-1831.
Teller’s photographic elegy weaves art and fashion with martyrdom and spirituality.
This latest photo essay by Juergen Teller (born 1964) details his visit to the compelling Hill of Crosses with his wife Dovile Drizyte and her parents in 2022. A pilgrimage and tourist site near Siauliai, Lithuania, the Hill originated as a place of commemoration after the November Uprising of 1830-31.

Il en va de même pour le livre photo Dong Bu Chang Ko – Take Over, qui a été photographié pendant la période de transition de l’installation du rôle classique à un nouvel espace culturel. Le livre a choisi le terme droit de ‘reprendre’ que nous utilisons normalement pour décrire le processus de ‘transmission et de réussite de l’œuvre’. En outre, sa photographie capture l’aspect ‘brut’ des espaces sans essayer de surélever le paysage donné : les façades du bâtiment où le temps passe, les chantiers remplis de débris, la charpente en bois laissée seule sans le toit, etc. [… ]
Lee Jae Bok’s language is straightforward. He never circumlocutes. The same is for the photobook Dong Bu Chang Ko – Take Over, which has been photographed during the period of transition of the facility from the classical role to a new cultural space. The book chose the straight term ‘take over’ that we use normally to describe the process of ‘passing on and succeeding work’. In addition, his photography is capturing the ‘raw’ aspect of spaces without trying to overembellish the given scenery: façades of building whee the flow of time is engraved, construction sites filled with debris, wooden framework left alone without the roof, etc.[…]
