Avec leur travail pseudo-scientifique Anne Geene (1983) et Arjan de Nooy (1965) montrent au monde une nouvelle manière, souvent humoristique, ce qui est montré au public. Ensemble, ils ont fait la publication Ornithologie, une bible d’oiseaux alternative avec des prix de meilleur conception de livre remportés un peu partout dans le monde de Buchmesse à Leipzig. Anne Geene a remporté cette année le prix De Volkskrant Fine Art pour son travail solo ainsi que le prix du public.
The Universal Photographer est sur le photographe fictif ‘U’, qui a vécu de 1955 à 2010. Sur la base du travail de ‘U’, qui passe par différentes périodes de style et cite des mouvements artistiques, Geene et De Nooy ont fait ce livre, qui d’une part est une encyclopédie de la photographie mais aussi l’histoire personnelle d’un photographe universel ; photos en couleurs.
Ce catalogue est publié conjointement à l’exposition au Gemeentemuseum La Haye du 12 octobre 2018 au 17 mars 2019.
With their pseudo-scientific work Anne Geene (1983) and Arjan de Nooy (1965) show the audience in a new, often humorous way to the world. Together they made the publication Ornithology, an alternative bird bible with the Best Book Design from all over the world at the Buchmesse in Leipzig. Geene won this year’s De Volkskrant Fine Art Prize for her solo work and also the audience award.
The Universal Photographer is about the fictional photographer ‘U’, who lived from 1955 to 2010. On the basis of the work of ‘U’, which goes through different style periods and cites art movements, Geene and De Nooy made this book, which on the one hand is a ‘ encyclopedia ‘of photography and also the personal life story of a universal photographer.
The exhibition The Universal Photographer is to be seen this autumn for the first time in Gemeentemuseum The Hague from Friday 12 October 2018 to 17 March 2019
