Je me suis rendu compte que ça faisait un moment que j’avais sorti de nouvelles images.
Alors j’ai décidé de réserver un vol pour Los Angeles sans idée claire du genre de travail que je voulais produire. Ayant été dans cette ville plusieurs fois, cela semblait être l’endroit parfait pour un photographe de se perdre.
J’ai passé 15 jours à L.A. du 15 au 30 décembre, errant, me laissant séduire photographiquement par tout ce qui croisait mon chemin.
J’ai survolé la ville en hélicoptère, mis un fond blanc au centre-ville afin de photographier les gens comme si je les avais dans un studio, obtenu un rendez-vous avec James Goldstein dans sa maison de John Lautner et a même pu photographier l’incroyable danseur Lil Buck alors qu’un ami à moi tournait un documentaire sur lui.
Je me suis retrouvé avec pas mal d’images qui lui sont affichées : elles sont le résultat de cette errance.

I realised it had been quite some time since I released new images.
So I decided to book a flight to Los Angeles without a clear idea of the kind of work I wanted to produce. Having been to this city quite a few times, it seemed like the perfect place for a photographer to get lost in.
I spent 15 days in L.A. from the 15th to 30th december, wandering, letting myself be photographically seduced by whatever crossed my path.
I flew over the city by helicopter, set a white background downtown in order to photograph people as if I had them in a studio, got an appointment with James Goldstein in his John Lautner house and even got to photograph the amazing dancer Lil Buck as a friend of mine was shooting a documentary on him.
I ended up with a fair few images which are displayed her: they are the result of that roaming. »
