Norman Seeff est né en 1939 en Afrique du Sud. Après avoir étudié la médecine, il a émigré aux États-Unis à la fin des années 60, où il a commencé à travailler comme photographe, d’abord avec peu de succès.
Après s’être lié d’amitié avec Patti Smith et avoir photographié Andy Warhol, il est rapidement devenu une star de la scène photographique.
Norman Seeff was born in 1939 in South Africa. After studying medicine, he emigrated to the USA in the late ’60s, where he began working as a photographer, at first with little success.
After making friends with Patti Smith and photographing Andy Warhol, however, he quickly became a star of the photography scene.
