Yorgos Lanthimos réalise toutes ses photographies, immobiles et en mouvement, sur film argentique, savourant l’intimité créative du médium. Ces images en couleur et en noir et blanc inédites sont devenues une partie de la formation du monde de son nouveau film Kinds of Kindness (2024). Ici, ils deviennent des fragments qui élaborent une histoire entièrement nouvelle, riche des tensions et des atmosphères troublantes que Yorgos Lanthimos a fait sienne.
Yorgos Lanthimos makes all his photography, both still and moving, on analogue film, relishing the creative intimacy the medium involves. These previously unseen colour and black-and-white images became a part of the formation of his new film’s world Kinds of Kindness (2024). Here, they become fragments that elaborate an entirely new story, rich with the tensions and unsettling atmospheres that Yorgos Lanthimos has made his own.

Peintre et photographe née à Athènes en 1960, elle a fait des cours de peinture à l’École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts à Paris. Ianna, connue du public grec pour son projet Athina Théa, a beaucoup voyagé en Afrique de l’Est et ailleurs et habite actuellement en France.
