Arthur Elgort : Azzedine Alaia, Freedom
Cette longue collaboration entre le couturier Azzedine Alaïa et le photographe Arthur Elgort fait l’objet d’une exposition à Paris à la Fondation Azzedine Alaïa du 23 janvier au 20 août 2023 et de la monographie qui l’accompagne, intitulée ‘Freedom’, qui présente plus de 150 classiques intemporels en noir et blanc.
This long collaboration between the stylist Azzedine Alaïa and the photographer Arthur Elgort is the subject of an exhibition in Paris at the Fondation Azzedine Alaïa running from January 23 to August 20 2023 and the accompanying monograph, entitled ‘Freedom’, which presents more than 150 timeless classic black-and-white pictures.

Michael Schmidt : Ein-Heit (Neuauflage 2022)
En 1965, le photographe allemand Michael Schmidt (1945-2014) commence à photographier les rues, les bâtiments et les habitants de Berlin-Ouest dans une approche semi-documentaire. Ein-heit (U-ni-ty) (1991-1994) est un livre sur les paysages urbains contemporains et les portraits d’Allemagne mélangés à des images historiques de la période national-socialiste et nazi, réalisées par le photographe en réponse à la chute du Mur en 1989 et à la réunification ultérieure de l’Allemagne de l’Est et de l’Ouest.

Paul Strand
Paul Strand était l’un des grands photographes du XXe siècle. Dans sa jeunesse, il étudia sous la direction de Lewis Hine et fut acclamé par des sources aussi illustres qu’Alfred Stieglitz. Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Strand a voyagé à travers le monde pour photographier, et, dans le processus, créé un ensemble dynamique et significatif de travaux. Une importante rétrospective de son travail a été présentée au Philadelphia Museum of Art en octobre 2014.
Paul Strand was one of the great photographers of the twentieth century. As a youth, he studied under Lewis Hine and went on to draw acclaim from such illustrious sources as Alfred Stieglitz. After World War II, Strand traveled around the world to photograph, and, in the process, created a dynamic and significant body of work. A major retrospective of his work was shown at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in October 2014.
