Pour accompagner l’exposition, la Fondation Serralves – Casa do Cinema Manoel de Oliveira a édité une publication bilingue (portugais/anglais), abondamment illustrée, avec des essais originaux d’António Preto, Sylvain Dreyer, Claude Murcia, Nathalie Mauffrey et Ricardo Vieira Lisboa. Le livre ajoute la réédition d’un texte de Raymond Bellour, la transcription de deux conversations inédites, l’une entre Agnès Varda et Hans Ulrich Obrist et l’autre entre le réalisateur et Manoel de Oliveira. Ces textes sont rejoints par un reportage photographique réalisé par Agnès Varda au Portugal, en 1956, jamais présenté dans son intégralité. La publication comprend également les contributions de plusieurs chefs portugais, avec des recettes qui ont des pommes de terre comme ingrédient principal.
Agnès Varda a joué un rôle important dans le développement de la Nouvelle Vague française, cinéaste, photographe et artiste d’installation prolifique. Son travail était personnel et impliqué dans le monde qui l’entoure, brouillant souvent les frontières entre le documentaire et la fiction et se concentrant sur ses préoccupations concernant les questions féministes, l’écologie et les conditions sociales.
To accompany the exhibition, the Serralves Foundation – Casa do Cinema Manoel de Oliveira edited a bilingual publication (Portuguese/English), profusely illustrated, with original essays by António Preto, Sylvain Dreyer, Claude Murcia, Nathalie Mauffrey and Ricardo Vieira Lisboa, the which adds the re-edition of a text by Raymond Bellour, the transcription of two unpublished conversations, one between Agnès Varda and Hans Ulrich Obrist and another between the director and Manoel de Oliveira. These texts are joined by a photographic report made by Agnès Varda in Portugal, in 1956, never before presented in its entirety. The publication also includes the contributions of several Portuguese Chefs, with recipes that have potatoes as their main ingredient.
Agnès Varda was an important figure in the development of the French Nouvelle Vague, a prolific filmmaker, photographer and installation artist. Her work was personal and involved with the world around her, often blurring the boundaries between documentary and fiction and focusing on her concerns with feminist issues, ecology and social conditions.

A publicação integra, ainda, os contributos de vários Chefs portugueses, com receitas que têm na batata o seu ingrediente principal.
