Oberschwaben (Haute-Souabe), entre la Forêt-Noire, le lac de Constance et l’Allgäu, offre une richesse architecturale baroque et des paysages pittoresques. Les images d’Axel Hütte ne sont pas des représentations d’un paysage culturel et de son histoire. Ce sont des images photographiques, mais pas nécessairement des images photographiquement réalistes. Elles s’intitulent collectivement Reflexio. Hütte travaille avec l’inversion du spectre des couleurs, le reflet de l’espace pictural. Les interventions du photographe dans l’image réaliste sont une transformation radicale de ce que l’œil a d’abord enregistré, elles contredisent l’expérience ; elles nient la perception coutumière. Au lieu de cela, elles sont une construction esthétique autonome et révèlent un côté différent de la réalité. Les deux thèmes de ces œuvres, « baroque » et « paysage », deviennent ainsi des outils équivalents pour approfondir les réalités picturales, sous la direction de Hans-Jörg Reisch and Andreas Reisch , textes de Julian Heynen, photos en couleurs.
Oberschwaben (Upper Swabia), between the Black Forest, Lake Constance and the Allgäu, offers a richness of Baroque architecture and picturesque rolling landscapes. Axel Hütte’s images are not intended as portrayals of a cultural landscape and its history. They are photographic images, but not necessarily photographically realistic images. They are, collectively, titled Reflexio. Hütte works with the inversion of the colour spectrum, the reflection of the pictorial space. The photographer’s interventions in the realistic image are a radical transformation of what the eye initially registered, they contradict experience; negate customary perception. Instead, they are an autonomous aesthetic construct and reveal a different side of reality. The two themes in these works—“Baroque” and “landscape”—thus become equivalent tools for thoroughly investigating pictorial realities ; edited by Hans-Jörg Reisch and Andreas Reisch , texts by Julian Heynen.
