À l’origine urbaniste, le photographe allemand Ulrich Wüst (né en 1949) a photographié les bâtiments abandonnés et les paysages sombres de l’Allemagne de l’Est, de l’époque de la RDA à nos jours. Bien qu’hyperlocales, ses images en noir et blanc parlent de phénomènes universels de changement social et de ses manifestations matérielles.
Originally a city planner, German photographer Ulrich Wüst (born 1949) has photographed the derelict buildings and bleak landscapes of East Germany from the GDR era to the present day. While hyperlocal, his black-and-white images speak to universal phenomena of social change and its material manifestations.
