Mark Klett : El Camino Del Diablo
Une grande partie du travail de Mark Klett en tant que photographe s’est concentrée sur une conversation avec des images historiques. Pour ce projet, Mark Klett a travaillé à partir du compte rendu d’un jeune ingénieur des mines nommé Raphael Pumpelly, qui a écrit au cours de son voyage à travers l’Arizona et le Mexique en 1861 sur le Camino del Diablo ou « la route du diable ».
Much of Mark Klett’s work as a photographer has centered on a conversation with historical images. For this project, Klett worked only with the account of a young mining engineer named Raphael Pumpelly, who wrote of his journey through Arizona and Mexico in 1861 on the Camino del Diablo or “the road of the devil.”
