Paul Strand
Paul Strand était l’un des grands photographes du XXe siècle. Dans sa jeunesse, il étudia sous la direction de Lewis Hine et fut acclamé par des sources aussi illustres qu’Alfred Stieglitz. Après la Seconde Guerre mondiale, Strand a voyagé à travers le monde pour photographier, et, dans le processus, créé un ensemble dynamique et significatif de travaux. Une importante rétrospective de son travail a été présentée au Philadelphia Museum of Art en octobre 2014.
Paul Strand was one of the great photographers of the twentieth century. As a youth, he studied under Lewis Hine and went on to draw acclaim from such illustrious sources as Alfred Stieglitz. After World War II, Strand traveled around the world to photograph, and, in the process, created a dynamic and significant body of work. A major retrospective of his work was shown at the Philadelphia Museum of Art in October 2014.
