Hrushchak, né en Ukraine, vit en Allemagne depuis 20 ans. Tsilyk vit et travaille à Kiev; en juxtaposant leur art exceptionnel, ils ont créé un livre profondément inspirant et émouvant de poèmes et d’images sur le peuple ukrainien. En dépeignant la culture et la vie humaine, il saisit la tension entre le transitoire et l’éternel d’une manière hautement visuelle et poétique. Le sens de ce volume avec ses portraits, photographies et poèmes soigneusement sélectionnés transcende le temps et les cultures.
Le travail du photographe Ruslan Hrushchak a reçu des prix internationaux; il a été finaliste de la Royal Photographic Society et premier prix dans Life Framer édition IV, 2017. The Road Beyond est son premier livre photo.
Iryna Tsilyk est une auteure et réalisatrice de renommée internationale. Aujourd’hui, elle travaille comme réalisatrice. Ses poèmes, chansons et textes en prose ont été traduits en allemand, anglais, français, tchèque, lituanien et polonais et ont été présentés au Festival de poésie de Berlin, à la Foire du livre de Leipzig, à la conférence « Lyric for All » à Salzbourg et à la Foire du livre de Vilnius, entre autres.
Hrushchak, born in Ukraine, has been living in Germany for 20 years. Tsilyk lives and works in Kyiv; by juxtaposing their outstanding art they have created a deeply inspiring and moving book of poems and pictures about the people of Ukraine. In depicting culture and human life it captures the tension between the transient and the eternal in a highly visual and poetic way. The meaning of this volume with its carefully selected portraits, photographs and poems transcends time and cultures..

Iryna Tsilyk is an internationally acclaimed writer and filmmaker. Today she works as a director. Her poems, songs and prose texts have been translated into German, English, French, Czech, Lithuanian and Polish and have been presented at the Berlin Poetry Festival, the Leipzig Book Fair, the “Lyric for All” conference in Salzburg and the Vilnius Book Fair, among others.
