RePose est une collection de près de 60 autoportraits réalisés par l’artiste Tarrah Krajnak au cours de performances live de longue durée en studio qui intègrent une chambre noire sur place, un studio d’éclairage et une installation d’images photocopiées de centaines d’exemples de « poses de femmes ».
RePose is a collection of close to 60 self-portraits made by the artist Tarrah Krajnak over the course of long-duration, studio-based live performances that incorporate an onsite darkroom, lighting studio, and an installation of xeroxed images of hundreds of examples of “women’s poses”. -

Adrianna Ault a été élevée à la Nouvelle-Orléans où un système de digue de 565 km contrôle et retient les eaux de crue. Ce projet a commencé alors qu’Adrianna Ault tentait de mieux comprendre le paysage entourant la ville, mais a évolué au cours des 5 années pour englober sa famille changeante, les voyages qu’ils ont pris et le traitement du deuil. La digue est devenue une métaphore des barrières érigées pour tenter de conjurer le déclin inévitable et l’assaut du temps et de la nature.
Adrianna Ault was raised in New Orleans where a 350 mile levee system controls and holds back flood waters. This project began as Adrianna Ault attempted to better understand the landscape surrounding the city, but evolved over the course of 5-years to encompass her changing family, journeys they took and the processing of grief. The levee became a metaphor for the barriers built in an attempt to ward off inevitable decline, and the onslaught of time and nature.

Weegee : Autopsie du Spectacle

Une centaine de photographies de Weegee sont présentées : ses images de faits divers prises à New York dans les années 1940 et ses clichés de starlettes, de politiciens et de mondains réalisés à Hollywood dans les années 1950. Ce catalogue montre la cohérence de son œuvre fondée sur une critique radicale de la société du spectacle et emprunte d’une empathie inattendue envers les défavorisés.
Il y a une énigme Weegee. Ses photographies se répartissent en deux catégories distinctes. Il y a d’une part ses images de faits divers prises à New York, au cours des années 1940, dans une approche documentaire. Et de l’autre, des photographies de starlettes ou de politiciens réalisées à Hollywood dans la décennie suivante. Il y a deux Weegee, un tragique et un festif, que ce livre ambitionne de réconcilier en montrant la cohérence d’une œuvre basée sur une critique radicale et incisive de la Société du Spectacle.
