Alors qu’il étudiait à la New School de New York sous l’égide de Lisette Model, Sunil Gupta passait ses week-ends à arpenter Christopher Street avec son appareil photo. C’était quelques années après les émeutes de Stonewall et avant l’arrivée du Sida, il a ainsi capté la communauté gay qui arpentait librement les rues comme on ne le voyait pas auparavant : photos en n.b.

Born in New Delhi and now living in London, Sunil Gupta is an artist, writer and activist. He has a MA in Photography from the Royal College of Art, and is currently studying towards a doctorate at the University of Westminster. Gupta’s work has been seen in over 90 international solo and group exhibitions.
