Performance artist Vanessa Beecroft (born 1969) is best known for her large-scale, regimentally choreographed performances and tableaux vivants involving naked or nearly naked women. In the 2010s she was a frequent collaborator with Kanye West, serving as creative lead for his « Runaway » music video and designing the first four presentations of his Yeezy collection. In Jane Bleibt Jane, Beecroft reflects on her career thus far through six in-depth conversations.

Lorsque Sunil Gupta a quitté New York pour Londres à la fin des années 70, il a été surpris de ne trouver aucun équivalent de Christopher Street à New York. Tous les gais et les lesbiennes semblaient se cacher. On les rencontrait seulement dans une poignée de pubs et de boîtes de nuit qui fermaient très tôt. Cependant, cela était sur le point de changer avec le développement et la croissance des marches gays des années 1970 en un nombre plus important de personnes plus confiantes qui sont sorties dans les manifestations publiques gays.
When Sunil Gupta moved to London from New York in the late 70s, he was surprised to find no equivalent of New York’s Christopher Street. All the gays and lesbians appeared to be in hiding. Only to be encountered in a handful of pubs and after-hours clubs, which closed very early. However, this was about to change with the development and growth of the 1970s fledgeling gay marches into the more significant numbers of more confident people who came out in gay public protests.
