C’est aussi un livre sur le témoignage d’une expérience visuelle et existentielle singulière : celle d’un territoire qui se situe idéalement et physiquement entre les terres provinciales et le caractère rural des routes moins fréquentées. À travers les images, Lachi révèle la complexité technique et culturelle de cette pratique, sa réflexion stylistique et formelle qui se nourrit certes des références mais aussi de la patience du regard et de la profondeur du sentiment.
Italian photographer Marco Lachi presents a book about the landscape, about the elements (both anthropic and natural) that compose it, about the process that produces and creates it, and about the feeling of disturbing belonging that it generates in the observer. It is also a book about the testimony of a singular visual and existential experience: that of a territory that ideally and physically lies between provincial lands and the rural character of roads less travelled. Through images, Lachi reveals the technical and cultural complexity of this practice, its stylistic and formal reflection, which is certainly nourished by references, but also by the patience of the gaze and the depth of feeling.

Son regard se concentre sur les moments interstitiels du lieu, rappelant des détails du passé et suggérant des messages potentiels pour l’avenir. Dans cette danse entre ce qui a été vécu et ce qui est à venir, la terre devient un véhicule pour des souvenirs retravaillés et de nouvelles possibilités inexplorées.
Filippo Barbero’s project Borderland is an investigation on the landscape, and specifically a small town of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, that blurs into the intimate life of the author in a poetic and touching way. His gaze focuses on the interstitial moments of the place, recalling details of the past as well as suggesting potential messages for the future. In this dance between what’s been lived and what’s to come, the land becomes a vehicle for re-elaborated memories and uncharted new possibilities.

Le langage photographique hautement symbolique de « Italia O Italia » de Federico Clavarino tisse un récit intrigant. C’est l’histoire d’une nation complexe dont les ruines antiques jettent des ombres sur les éclats d’un présent brisé. Les images du livre ont été numérisées à partir des copies chromogéniques originales, puis imprimées dans la chambre noire par le photographe lui-même.
Né à Turin en 1984, Federico Clavarino a étudié les techniques de narration à la Scuola Holden d’Alessandro Baricco. En 2007, il s’installe à Madrid, où il vit et travaille actuellement comme professeur de photographie à la BlankPaper Escuela.
The highly symbolic photographic language of Federico Clavarino’s’Italia O Italia’ weaves an intriguing narrative. It is the story of a complex nation whose ancient ruins cast shadows on the shards of a shattered present. The book’s images were scanned from the original chromogenic prints and then printed in the darkroom by the photographer himself.
Born in Turin in 1984, Federico Clavarino studied narration techniques at Alessandro Baricco’s Scuola Holden. In 2007 he moved to Madrid, where he currently lives and works as a teacher of photography at BlankPaper Escuela. -

Inspirée par le concept de « modernité liquide » de la sociologue Zygmunt Bauman, Benedetta Ristori (IT) examine comment la société contemporaine est définie par le changement et l’incertitude, et montre comment les individus, en particulier les femmes expatriées, trouvent leur identité et leur sentiment d’appartenance dans un contexte préTissu urbain existant. À travers des portraits intimes réalisés dans des espaces urbains rigides, Ristori capture la tension entre la liberté de ces femmes de se réinventer et leur connexion passagère avec la ville. En parallèle, le projet de Ristori met également l’accent sur les (petits jardins), qui offrent un refuge dans le monde urbain. Avec ‘You don’t need soil to grow’, Ristori s’interroge sur ce que signifie appartenir à une époque où la seule constante est le changement.
Berlin is a city characterised by its international population and gentrification. Inspired by sociologist Zygmunt Bauman’s concept of ‘liquid modernity’, Benedetta Ristori (IT) examines how contemporary society is defined by change and uncertainty, and shows how individuals, particularly expatriate women, find their identity and sense of belonging in a pre-existing urban fabric. Through intimate portraits taken in rigid urban spaces, Ristori captures the tension between these women’s freedom to reinvent themselves and their fleeting connection to the city. In parallel, Ristori’s project also focuses on the German Kleingärten (small gardens), which provide a refuge within the urban world. With ‘You don’t need soil to grow’, Ristori questions what it means to belong in an age where the only constant is change.
